Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer to work on a contract basis. The role involves setting up, running, and post-processing complex fluid dynamics simulations to evaluate aerodynamic and thermal performance across cutting-edge engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build CAD geometry clean-up, meshing, and numerical setup for 3D steady and unsteady CFD simulations.
- Run fluid flow, turbulence, heat transfer, and multiphase simulations using tools like ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, or STAR-CCM+.
- Analyze simulation convergence, perform mesh independence studies, and validate results against empirical test data.
- Author comprehensive technical simulation reports summarizing pressure drops, flow fields, and thermal distributions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to provide design optimization recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace,



or Chemical Engineering with a focus on Fluid Dynamics.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience running commercial or open-source CFD software (ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, STAR-CCM+).
- Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, boundary layer theory, and turbulence models (k-epsilon, k-omega SST).
- Proficiency in pre-processing, surface meshing, volume mesh generation, and post-processing tools.
- Excellent technical writing and remote collaboration capabilities.
