Role Description The Pump Room Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of pump room equipment and related systems at NexWire’s in office facility in Pune City. This full-time role includes monitoring pumps, valves, and control panels, maintaining pressure levels, and ensuring consistent water and fluid distribution according to operational requirements.

The Pump Room

Operator performs routine inspections, basic maintenance, and cleaning of heavy equipment, and promptly reports any faults or irregularities. Daily activities also include recording operational data,



adhering to safety and compliance standards, and coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams during testing, shutdowns, and emergency situations. The role may involve assisting in system start-up, supporting fire fighting and safety systems operations, and participating in ongoing training to stay updated on procedures and equipment use.

Qualifications

- Ability to operate and monitor heavy equipment and pump systems safely and efficiently.
- Hands-on experience working with tubing, piping, and fluid distribution systems.
- Familiarity with handling cement or similar construction materials in pump-related operations is an advantage.
- Experience in inspection, routine checks, and basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components.
- Willingness to participate in regular training on safety protocols, equipment handling, and emergency procedures.
- Understanding of industrial safety standards and commitment to safe work practices.
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions, operational manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in pump room operations, utilities, or industrial plant operations is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work in shifts as required.
