Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Design Engineer to develop comprehensive life safety and fire suppression system designs for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. You will create detailed CAD/BIM layouts, perform hydraulic calculations, and ensure full compliance with regional building codes and NFPA standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design & Drafting: Create detailed engineering drawings for water-based fire sprinkler systems, fire alarms, standpipes, and special hazard suppression systems using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

- Calculations & Analysis: Perform hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and water supply analysis using specialized software (e.g., HydraCAD, AutoSPRINK).

- Code Compliance: Ensure all designs conform to NFPA standards (e.g., NFPA 13, 14, 20, 72), International Building Code (IBC), and local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.

- Coordination: Work closely with MEP engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve spatial spatial conflicts and spatial routing within 3D BIM models.

- Project Documentation:



Prepare technical specifications, material submittals, equipment schedules, and cost estimates.

- Field Support: Conduct site inspections, review submittals, respond to RFIs, and support commissioning phases as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Fire Protection, or Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience).

- Experience: 3–5+ years of dedicated experience in fire protection system design.

- Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM); hands-on experience with hydraulic calculation tools (HydraCAD, HASS, or AutoSPRINK).

- Certifications: NICET certification (Level II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout or Fire Alarm Systems) or EIT/PE registration is highly preferred.

- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of NFPA standards, IBC, and local building/fire codes.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
