Job Purpose:

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the hospital, ensuring financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment with organizational goals. This role involves budgeting, financial planning, reporting, and analysis to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Budgeting

- Develop and manage the hospitals annual budget and long-term financial plans.
- Forecast capital, staffing, and operational needs.
- Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze financial trends and variances.
- Present financial insights to senior management and advisory committees.

Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.




- Monitor insurance and reimbursement policies affecting hospital revenue.

Revenue Cycle & Cost Control

- Oversee billing, coding, claims processing, and reimbursement.
- Implement cost-effective strategies and financial controls.
- Manage patient accounts and donated funds.

Strategic Support

- Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with hospital strategy.
- Support business planning and performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide financial input for policy changes and healthcare reform impacts.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Liaise with insurance providers, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Support fundraising and grant management efforts.
- Communicate financial performance to internal and external stakeholders.
