This is a Field Service Engineer Oil & Gas role, mainly suited for freshers with ITI or Diploma qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation.

What youll actually do

- Visit petrol pumps/retail outstations for equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot fuel dispensers and related equipment.
- Install and commission recent equipment.
- Identify electrical/mechanical/instrumentation faults and fix them.
- Communicate with customers and explain technical issues and solutions.
- Follow strict safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
- Prepare service reports and maintain maintenance records.
- Coordinate with senior engineers, technicians, and project teams.
- Attend technical and safety training.

What the company is looking for You are eligible if you have:

- ITI or Diploma in:

- Mechanical

- Electrical

- Electronics

- Instrumentation




- Fresher status is acceptable.
- Basic computer knowledge, especially Email, MS Office, and Excel.
- Flexibility to work different shifts/timings.
- Your own bike for field visits.

Skills worth preparing before the interview For a fresher, I'd especially revise:

1. Basic electrical: voltage, current, resistance, Ohm's law, AC/DC, multimeter use.
2. Basic electronics/instrumentation: sensors, switches, relays, wiring, calibration, 420 mA basics.
3. Mechanical basics: pumps, motors, bearings, lubrication, preventive maintenance.
4. Troubleshooting: how you systematically identify the cause of a machine fault.
5. Safety: PPE, electrical safety, fire safety, work permits, and basic hazardous-area awareness.
6. Computer skills: Excel, email, writing a simple service report.
7. Customer handling: how you would communicate when equipment is down and the customer is waiting.
