Role/ Job Summary The Manager, Production Planning Cells will be responsible for managing the Companys and customers production targets and expectations amidst a highly disruptive supply chain environment. He/ she will need to have strong interpersonal skills and be able to connect the dots to ensure smooth supply chain from start to end. He/ she shall be highly motivated with experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment to lead the Company’s Planning Team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Deliverable and Purchase Management

- To analyse supply and global sales forecast as well as Company’s in-house demand to optimize production supply while ensuring highest profitability.
- Sustaining existing network & managing supply chain, ensuring timely distribution. Monitoring availability of stock,making appropriate arrangements to ensure on time deliveries

- Interfacing with cross functional departments for ascertaining procurement plans for packaging materials, raw

materials & production consumables.
- Developing and implementing key strategies for the purchase of materials from sources; achieving cost reduction in procurement.
- Processing the requisitions, price comparison statement, releasing purchase orders for suppliers, arranging prompt deliveries and meeting the time targets to a maximum extent for packaging and other consumables

Continuous Improvement
- To develop mid-term to long-term strategies, and to translate ideas into plans for Management team’s approval.

Product-mix Optimization
- To streamline and optimize high mix production.

Cost and Efficient Supply Chain
- To secure mid-term to long-term capacity forecast and cost-competitiveness from global suppliers.
- Planning of required materials as per production plan, forecast & BOM.
- Controlling inventory through inventor control methods and maintaining appropriate level of inventory, identification
- of surplus, obsolete & scrap materials & disposal of scrap materials.
- Managing the inventory levels thereby ensuring optimum use of inventory as per BOM.





Inventory Management
- To forecast inventory costs, establish inventory policies based on changing environments, and to balance between available raw materials and inventory costs.

Mentor
- Responsible for identifying and developing team members for succession planning.
- Review and plan for training & development of staff after identification of training gaps.

Other
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications, Competence & Skills

Technical/ Professional

- Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Engineering/ Business/ Supply Chain
- Minimum 5 years related industry experience in high volume-high mix manufacturing and production planning background
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial role
- Proficient in an ERP system, preferably SAP system (PP module) with good knowledge of supply chain, materials flow concepts and production planning reporting/ metrics

Technological
- Excellent knowledge of M.S. Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of PV value chain
- MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and ERP knowledge

General
- Must be able to multi-task and able to communicate clearly all goals to all levels
- Highly organized and hands-on
- Highly fluent in both written and spoken English
- Team leader, self-driven and able to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills

People/ Relations
- Energetic team leader with strong sense of responsibility and integrity
- Strong presentation skills – Prepare aesthetically-pleasing presentation slides and present to Management
