- Support FEA projects using ANSYS Workbench (Mechanical) and Design Modeler / SpaceClaim as per customer requirements.
- Interface with customers, maintain regular project communication, build strong relationships, and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Obtain, review, and validate all necessary inputs for assessing components and sub-systems for stress, deformation, vibration, and durability.
- Understand and comprehend the requirements and operating environment of components and systems.
- Perform linear and non-linear stress analysis, modal analysis, and fatigue analysis at the assembly level.
- Carry out analytical calculations using first principles/engineering fundamentals, perform sanity checks on analysis results, and develop MS Excel-based calculators as required.
- Understand and effectively use reference reports, models, ANSYS models, and established processes from past projects.
- Resolve analysis-related issues and convergence problems.
- Interpret analysis results and provide appropriate design recommendations, considering manufacturing, assembly, and cost aspects.
- Prepare clear and concise technical documentation and reports, with good presentation and report-writing skills.
- Communicate effectively and tailor technical communication to the needs of different audiences.
- Be self-driven, with the ability to learn from Cummins processes, reports, and reference ANSYS models and execute projects with minimal supervision.
- Should be able to handle end customers and projects independently.
- Demonstrate a commitment to self-development by actively seeking opportunities to learn and grow through formal and informal development channels.
