Fashion & Graphic Designer — YODA Merch /n Location: Mumbai /n Type: Full-time /n YODA is creating a new clothing and merchandise brand with a strong point of view — premium, cool, slightly unexpected and made for people who care about animals without wanting to wear traditional "NGO merch." /n We're looking for a Fashion & Graphic Designer who can help build this brand from the ground up. /n This is not a role for someone who only makes graphics. /n We want someone who understands clothing, fit, fabric, trims, graphics, embroidery, printing, sampling and production, and can take an idea all the way from a moodboard to a finished product. /n What you'll work on /n Design and develop collections across: /n /n

- T-shirts and oversized tees

- Hoodies and sweatshirts

/n

- Tracksuits and track pants

/n

- Socks

/n

- Caps and accessories

/n

- Limited-edition drops

/n

- Experimental / statement merchandise

/n /n The aesthetic should feel young, premium and fashion-first — sometimes minimal, sometimes quirky, but never generic. /n Think interesting placements, unexpected details, excellent typography, subtle animal references, embroidery, textures, unusual graphics and products people would genuinely want to wear even if they knew nothing about YODA. /n What you'll do /n Create the visual language of the brand /n Develop graphics, typography, illustrations, motifs, prints and placement ideas that make the collection instantly recognisable. /n Design actual garments /n Work on silhouettes, colours, fabric choices, fits, washes, trims, embroidery, labels and detailing — not just artwork placed on existing T-shirts. /n Develop collections /n Turn broad themes and ideas into cohesive seasonal drops and capsules with hero products and commercially wearable pieces. /n Own sampling and product development /n Work closely with manufacturers and vendors on: /n /n

/n /n Follow products through multiple sample rounds until they are ready for production. /n Bring unexpected ideas /n We want someone constantly thinking: /n What would make someone stop scrolling? /n What detail would make this piece collectible? /n How can an animal reference be cool rather than obvious? /n What could become our signature? /n Who we're looking for /n Someone with approximately 3–7+ years of experience in fashion, streetwear, lifestyle apparel or premium merchandise. /n You should have: /n /n

- Solid graphic design skills

/n

- Excellent understanding of typography and placement graphics

/n

- Experience designing apparel collections

/n

- Knowledge of fabrics, garment construction and fits

/n

- Experience working directly with manufacturers

/n

- Understanding of printing, embroidery and garment-finishing techniques

/n

- Ability to create tech packs and production-ready artwork

/n

- Strong visual taste and awareness of global fashion and youth culture

/n

- A portfolio that shows originality rather than repetitive commercial design

/n /n Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and relevant fashion-design software is expected. /n Most importantly /n We are looking for someone with taste. /n Someone who notices the difference between something that is merely nice and something people actually want. /n Someone who can take a strange little idea — a tail coming out of a pocket, one unexpected word across a tracksuit, an embroidered animal detail hidden inside a sleeve — and turn it into something fashionable. /n The ambition is to build a real clothing brand, not an NGO merchandise line. /n It should have the quality, design language and desirability to stand on its own. /n And every product should ultimately help YODA do more for animals.
