Role Description The Faculty Member role at Miryalan (MD) is a full time, on-site position based in Chennai. The faculty member will design and deliver engaging courses, develop curricula aligned with Miryalan’s interdisciplinary mission, and integrate practical applications from sectors such as technology, finance, media, and aerospace into teaching. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, conducting lectures and interactive sessions, mentoring learners, supervising projects or research work, and assessing performance through assignments and examinations.

The role also involves collaborating with other educators and industry professionals, contributing to academic initiatives,



and participating in seminars, workshops, and community outreach. Faculty members are expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge in their domain and support the development of innovative learning experiences.

Qualifications

- Strong subject-matter expertise in a relevant discipline (e.g., technology, engineering, business, finance, media, architecture, or related fields).
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, training, or academic facilitation, with the ability to design curricula and create structured learning materials.
- Proficiency in research methods, academic writing, and project supervision, with an interest in interdisciplinary and applied research.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and encourage critical thinking.
- Comfort with educational technology, digital tools, and innovative teaching approaches, including interactive and experiential learning.
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field; doctoral qualification is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Chennai, manage responsibilities independently, and contribute to a mission-driven, startup-like environment.
