Role & responsibilities

- Provide primary medical care and emergency treatment to stakeholders.

- Manage Occupational Health Centre (OHC) operations within the factory premises.

- Conduct pre-employment, periodic, and statutory medical examinations.

- Monitor occupational diseases and workplace health risks.

- Maintain employee medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Ensure compliance with provisions of the Factories Act and Rules concerning occupational health.

- Coordinate statutory medical examinations for employees exposed to occupational hazards.

- Liaise with Factory Inspectorate, ESI authorities, hospitals, and government agencies as required.

- Support audits, inspections, and statutory documentation related to health and welfare.

- Lead emergency preparedness and medical response systems.

- Conduct health awareness, wellness, vaccination, and preventive healthcare programs.

- Monitor ambulance services, first-aid facilities, and medical equipment readiness.





- Develop and implement health surveillance programs for employees.

- Coordinate with plant departments for workplace health assessments.

- Engage with external hospitals, specialists, diagnostic centers, and occupational health agencies.

- Advise management on health-related risks and preventive measures.

Preferred candidate profile

- AFIH (Associate Fellow of Industrial Health) Certification.

- MBBS from a recognized institution.

- Diploma/MD in Occupational Health, Community Medicine, or Industrial Medicine will be an added advantage.

- Valid registration with State Medical Council / NMC.

- Experience in manufacturing industries such as Cement, Steel, Mining, Power, Chemicals, or Heavy Engineering.

- Experience in handling Occupational Health Centres and statutory health compliance.
