Job Summary

Orlin Apparel Private Limited is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Fabric In-Charge to manage the complete fabric operations, including fabric receiving, inspection, inventory, storage, testing, issuing, consumption control, supplier coordination, documentation, and team management.

The candidate should have positive practical knowledge of fabric types, GSM, width, composition, shade/lot management, shrinkage, fabric defects, consumption, and garment production processes. The role is critical for ensuring the right fabric is available in the right quality and quantity at the right time for production. These responsibilities are consistent with standard fabric-store and garment-industry roles.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fabric Receiving & Inventory Management Receive, verify, store, and maintain accurate fabric stock records.
2. Fabric Quality Control Inspect fabric for GSM, width, shade variation, defects, shrinkage, and overall quality.
3. Fabric Testing & Compliance – Coordinate fabric testing and maintain quality/compliance records.

Fabric Issue & Consumption Control – Issue fabric as per production requirements and control excess consumption and wastage.
5. Supplier Coordination & Claims – Coordinate with suppliers regarding shortages, quality issues, replacements, and claims.
6. Store Operations – Ensure proper fabric identification, storage, movement, housekeeping, and stock safety.
7. Reporting & Documentation – Prepare fabric inward, stock, issue, consumption, reconciliation, and shortage/excess reports.
8. Team Management – Supervise fabric/store staff, allocate work, and maintain discipline and productivity.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of fabrics, GSM, width, shade, lot, shrinkage, and fabric defects.
- Inventory and fabric store management.
- Basic Excel/ERP knowledge.
- Supplier coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and team management skills.
