Role & responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day OP billing and payment collection activities
- Generate accurate bills for consultations, diagnostics, procedures, pharmacy, and other OP services
- Verify patient details, service charges, packages, discounts, and applicable billing information
- Coordinate with OPD, Doctors, Diagnostics, Pharmacy, and other departments for billing-related requirements
- Handle cash, card, digital payment, and other approved payment modes
- Explain billing details and charges to patients and attendants whenever required
- Address billing queries and resolve discrepancies in coordination with the concerned departments
- Ensure timely and accurate billing entries in the Hospital Information System (HIS)
- Maintain proper billing records, receipts, and supporting documents
- Handle refunds, cancellations, discounts, and corrections as per hospital policies
- Prepare daily billing and collection reports as required




- Ensure proper cash handling and reconciliation as per defined procedures
- OPD Coordination

Preferred candidate profile

- Graduate in any discipline; B.Com / BBA / Hospital Management preferred
- 12 years of experience in OP Billing, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup
- Good understanding of outpatient billing and payment processes
- Basic knowledge of hospital charges, packages, discounts, and billing procedures
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and Hospital Information Systems (HIS)
- Ability to handle patients and attendants professionally and courteously
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
