Event Manager

About the Role

We’re looking for an organized and experienced Event Manager to plan and deliver corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, product launches, and social gatherings. You will manage the event process from initial briefing to completion, ensuring events meet client expectations, timelines, and budgets.

Responsibilities

- Understand client objectives and develop event concepts, plans, and schedules.
- Prepare budgets, track expenses, and manage costs.
- Research and select venues, vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Negotiate vendor pricing and agreements within approved guidelines.
- Coordinate catering, décor, audiovisual equipment, transport, and other event requirements.
- Lead event staff, volunteers, and vendors, assigning clear responsibilities.
- Manage guest registration, invitations, and attendee arrangements.
- Oversee setup, rehearsals, event-day operations, and dismantling.
- Prepare contingency plans and resolve issues during events.
- Coordinate venue permissions, safety requirements, and necessary approvals.




- Keep clients and internal teams informed of progress and changes.
- Collect feedback and prepare post-event reports, including budget reconciliation.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience planning and managing events.
- Robust organizational, leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing budgets, vendors, and event teams.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; familiarity with event management tools is a plus.
- Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as required.
