Job Summary

We are looking for an Event Expert – Sales who is experienced in event management sales and can independently manage the complete sales cycle—from identifying potential clients and generating leads to closing business and coordinating with internal teams until successful event completion.

The ideal candidate should have robust communication and negotiation skills, good knowledge of the event industry, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Business Development

- Identify and develop new business opportunities through various channels.
- Generate leads through calls, emails, networking, referrals, social media, and industry contacts.
- Research potential corporate and individual clients and identify their event requirements.
- Build and maintain a strong database of prospective clients.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with leads and prospects.
- Convert qualified leads into business opportunities.

2. Client Interaction & Requirement Understanding

- Communicate with clients to understand their event requirements, objectives, budget, preferences, and timelines.
- Attend client meetings, calls, site visits, and presentations as required.
- Develop a clear understanding of the client's expectations and event scope.
- Provide suitable event solutions based on client requirements and company capabilities.
- Maintain professional and timely communication throughout the sales process.

3. Event Proposal & Presentation

- Prepare and coordinate event proposals, quotations, presentations,



and concept requirements.
- Work closely with the creative, planning, production, and operations teams to develop suitable event solutions.
- Present concepts, proposals, budgets, and event solutions to clients.
- Explain the scope of work, inclusions, exclusions, timelines, and commercial terms clearly.
- Revise proposals based on client feedback while maintaining commercial feasibility.

4. Negotiation & Sales Closure

- Negotiate with clients regarding pricing, scope, deliverables, and commercial terms.
- Handle client objections and provide appropriate solutions.
- Follow up consistently until the opportunity is converted or closed.
- Secure client confirmation and obtain necessary approvals.
- Ensure advance payments and required documentation are completed as per company procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, proposals, negotiations, and sales closures.

5. Internal Coordination & Event Handover

- Coordinate with the Event Planning, Creative, Production, Operations, Accounts, and other relevant teams after confirmation.
- Ensure complete and accurate handover of client requirements to the execution team.
- Communicate approved concepts, BOQs, quotations, timelines, deliverables, and special requirements clearly.
- Participate in internal briefings and ensure all stakeholders understand the project scope.
- Monitor whether the agreed client requirements are being incorporated into the execution plan.

6. Pre-Event Client Coordination

- Maintain regular communication with clients during the planning stage.
- Coordinate client approvals for concepts, designs, layouts, production elements, and other deliverables.
- Track pending approvals, payments, documents, and client inputs.
- Address client queries and coordinate internally to resolve issues.
- Conduct site visits and client meetings when required.
- Ensure the project remains aligned with the approved scope and budget.

7. Event-Day Coordination

- Be available at the event venue when required.
- Coordinate with the client and internal execution teams during the event.




- Ensure client expectations and agreed deliverables are being met.
- Support the operations and production teams in handling client-related requirements.
- Resolve client concerns promptly and professionally during the event.

8. Post-Event Follow-Up

- Follow up with clients after event completion to obtain feedback.
- Ensure pending payments and documentation are followed up with the Accounts team.
- Maintain client relationships for future business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business, referrals, and additional events.
- Maintain a record of completed events and potential future requirements.

9. Relationship Management & Business Growth

- Develop long-term relationships with corporate clients, wedding clients, agencies, vendors, and industry contacts.
- Generate repeat business and referrals from existing clients.
- Stay updated on event industry trends, competitors, venues, and market opportunities.
- Participate in networking events, exhibitions, industry meetings, and client visits.
- Contribute to the overall growth of the company's event business.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Event Management Company.
- Experience in event sales/business development is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the event industry and event sales process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and client-handling skills.
- Ability to prepare and present proposals and quotations.
- Good follow-up and lead-conversion skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate with multiple teams.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and events.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
