About the Role

INSAFE is looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer with strong knowledge of structural steel estimation and Tekla Structures.

The ideal candidate should be able to understand structural and fabrication drawings, prepare accurate quantity take-offs and BOQs, develop project estimates, and coordinate with the technical and commercial teams to prepare competitive quotations.

Knowledge of Tekla Structures is important for this role, particularly for reviewing structural models, extracting quantities, checking member details, and understanding fabrication requirements.

Work Arrangement

This is a remote position. However, the selected candidate will be required to work from a workspace designated by the company and must be available during the required working hours for regular coordination with the IN SECURE team.

The candidate should have a reliable internet connection and a suitable working workplace at the designated workspace.

Key Responsibilities

- Review structural steel drawings, architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for structural steel projects.
- Estimate quantities of steel members, plates, bolts, connections, decking, cladding, and other related materials.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates covering materials, fabrication, painting, transportation, erection, and other project requirements.
- Analyze structural steel drawings and identify scope, exclusions, and potential variations.
- Review Tekla Structures models and drawings for quantity verification and technical understanding.
- Extract and verify quantities from Tekla models where applicable.
- Coordinate with the detailing, fabrication, procurement, and project teams to clarify technical requirements.




- Obtain and evaluate material and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare commercial quotations and estimation summaries.
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential risks before quotation submission.
- Assist in preparing tender submissions and supporting documents.
- Maintain estimation records and project cost data for future reference.
- Coordinate with clients and consultants when clarification is required regarding drawings, specifications, or scope.

Requirements
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in structural steel estimation is preferred.
- Good understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection.
- Strong ability to read and interpret structural and fabrication drawings.
- Working knowledge of Tekla Structures is required.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of steel sections, plates, connections, bolts, welding, fabrication, painting, and erection processes.
- Good numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare accurate estimates within project deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining regular communication with the team.

- Heavy steel structures

What We Are Looking For We are looking for a technically capable Estimation Engineer who can understand the complete structural steel scope from drawings and Tekla models through fabrication and erection, and convert that understanding into accurate and commercially viable quotations.

Candidates with strong Tekla Structures knowledge, good AutoCAD skills, and practical structural steel estimation experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
