Estimation Engineer – Fire Fighting

We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer – Fire Fighting to join our MEP team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, studying BOQs and drawings, and supporting tendering and project estimation activities for fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Study and understand Fire Fighting drawings, BOQs and specifications.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for fire-fighting works.
- Prepare and review BOQ, rate analysis and estimation sheets.
- Calculate quantities for pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, hydrants, sprinklers and other fire-fighting materials.
- Coordinate with the design, purchase and project teams for technical and commercial requirements.
- Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare comparative statements and assist in finalizing rates.
- Identify scope gaps, quantity variations and estimation discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing tender quotations and commercial proposals.
- Maintain proper records of estimates,



quotations and supporting documents.
- Visit project sites when required for estimation and quantity verification.

Required Skills:

- Knowledge of Fire Fighting / Fire Protection Systems.
- Good understanding of BOQ, quantity take-off and rate analysis.
- Ability to read and understand MEP/Fire Fighting drawings.
- Knowledge of materials such as pipes, valves, fittings, sprinklers, hydrants, pumps, etc.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Good analytical and calculation skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification:

- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire & Safety Engineering, or relevant engineering field.
- Relevant experience in MEP/Fire Fighting estimation will be an added advantage.
