- About the Role
- We are looking for an Engineering Lead –
- Power Electronics to lead Leanwatts'
- Hardware, Firmware and Validation/Testing teams.
- The core responsibility of this role is to deliver recent power electronics products from concept to production across:
- ●
- Low-voltage EV chargers
- ●
- High-voltage power modules and converters
- ●
- Hybrid and bidirectional inverters
- ●
- Future Leanwatts power electronics platforms
- You will own the complete engineering lifecycle: requirements, architecture, design, prototype, firmware integration, validation, certification and production release.
- What You Will Do
- ●
- Lead hardware, firmware and testing engineers across multiple product-development programs.
- ●
- Own end-to-end development and release of new power electronics products.
- ●
- Define product architecture, engineering milestones, design reviews and release criteria.
- ●
- Review and guide power electronics hardware including PFC, LLC, PSFB, Dual Active Bridge (DAB), CLLC, bidirectional buck-boost and active front-end / bidirectional AC-DC architectures.
- ●
- Guide magnetics, power stages, sensing, protection, PCB design and thermal architecture.
- ●
- Guide embedded firmware, digital control, communication, protection and diagnostics.
- ●
- Drive prototype bring-up, debugging, EMI/EMC, thermal, safety and reliability validation.
- ●
- Establish structured EVT, DVT and PVT processes before production release.
- ●
- Work closely with Manufacturing,



Quality and Supply Chain to ensure products are manufacturable, reliable and scalable.
- ●
- Lead failure analysis, design improvements and continuous product cost/reliability optimisation.
- ●
- Mentor the engineering team and establish strong engineering and documentation practices.
- What We Are Looking For
- ●
- Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Power Electronics or a closely related field.
- ●
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on power electronics product-development experience.
- ●

Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.

- ●

- Proven track record of taking power electronics products from concept to production.
- ●
- Strong experience in AC-DC / DC-DC converters, PFC, LLC, PSFB, DAB, CLLC and bidirectional power-conversion systems.
- ●
- Strong understanding of magnetics, power semiconductors, digital control and firmware-controlled power conversion.
- ●
- Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up, high-power debugging, EMI/EMC, thermal and reliability testing.
- ●

Experience with EV chargers, OBCs, DC-DC converters, hybrid inverters, BESS PCS, V2G/V2H or similar bidirectional systems is preferred.
