Department: Offshore Structural Engineering

Role Summary The Engineer Checker serves as the technical authority responsible for independent verification, quality control, and technical compliance of all structural calculations, analysis models, and engineering deliverables for FPSO/FLNG topside modules.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform rigorous technical reviews and cross-checking of structural calculations, SACS analytical models, and finite element analysis (FEA) performed by project engineers.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant class society rules (ABS, DNV, BV), international standards (API RP 2A, AISC, ISO), and client specifications.
- Verify agile motion response calculations, transport/lifting assessments, deck integration interface forces, and blast/accidental load cases.
- Guide design teams on complex primary structural integrity issues, connection details, and weight optimization strategies.




- Interface directly with project discipline leads, naval architects, interface management teams, and classification societies.

Key Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural, Civil, or Marine/Ocean Engineering.
- SACS Expertise: Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in structural analysis using Bentley SACS.
- Module Design: Minimum 15 years of dedicated experience in offshore topside module structural design.
- Leadership History: Prior experience acting as an Area Lead or Lead Structural Engineer on at least one major FPSO or FLNG capital project.

Technical Breadth: Deep familiarity with hull-topside interface analysis, fatigue design (spectral and deterministic), topside module lifting analysis, and sea-fastening calculations.
