Role Description This full-time, on-site role as Emergency Medicine Consultant/Associate Consultant is based at Manipal Sarjapur Road in Bengaluru. The role involves providing timely, evidence-based emergency care to patients presenting with acute and critical conditions, including triage, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment.

Responsibilities include supervising and guiding junior doctors and clinical staff, coordinating with consultants from other specialties for comprehensive patient management, and ensuring adherence to established clinical protocols and quality standards. The professional in this role will participate in emergency department planning, continuous quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and documentation.



The role also includes conducting and supporting training activities, case discussions, and skill-building sessions to strengthen emergency care delivery within the department.

Qualifications

MD-EM, DNB-EM, CCT-EM, MRCEM

- Strong clinical expertise in Emergency Medicine, including acute care assessment, resuscitation, and management of trauma and medical emergencies.
- Broad knowledge of general Medicine with the ability to integrate multi-system care and support complex clinical decision-making.
- Experience in Cardiology-related emergency management such as chest pain evaluation, arrhythmia stabilization, and acute coronary syndromes.
- Proven ability in Working with Physicians across specialties, fostering collaborative, patient-centered care in high-pressure settings.
- Experience in Training healthcare professionals, including mentoring junior doctors, nurses, and support staff in emergency care practices.
- Recognized medical qualification (MBBS) with postgraduate specialization in Emergency Medicine or equivalent; valid medical registration.
- Robust communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain composed and decisive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, continuous learning, and adherence to clinical protocols and hospital policies.
