Circuit Understanding: Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and component datasheets.

● Embedded Programming: Working knowledge of embedded C and C++ for programming, testing, and troubleshooting microcontrollers and embedded devices.

● Microcontroller Knowledge: Familiarity with common microcontrollers such as ESP32, STM32, AVR, PIC, or similar platforms, including GPIO, timers, ADC, PWM, UART, I2C, SPI, and other basic peripherals.

● Hardware–Firmware Testing: Ability to verify communication between hardware and firmware, test device functionality, and identify whether a failure is caused by the circuit, firmware, power supply, or external interface.

● Debugging & Tools: Basic experience using a multimeter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, power supply, serial monitor, programmer/debugger, and other electronic testing instruments.

● Firmware Validation: Ability to flash firmware, perform functional tests,



reproduce software-related defects, verify bug fixes, and maintain firmware test records.

● Embedded Communication: Understanding of common communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, RS-485, CAN, Bluetooth/BLE, or Wi-Fi is desirable.

● Test Automation: Ability to write easy scripts or embedded test programs to automate repetitive hardware and functional checks.

● Root-Cause Analysis: Ability to correlate circuit behavior, firmware logs, measurements, and test results to identify the root cause of embedded-system failures.

● Documentation: Ability to prepare test procedures, test reports, defect reports, hardware/firmware validation records, and production quality checklists.
