Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to handle electrical operation, maintenance and troubleshooting activities for water supply projects, pumping stations, WTPs, reservoirs and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems at water supply project sites.
- Maintain and troubleshoot HT/LT panels, MCC, PCC, PMCC, motors, pumps, transformers and DG sets.
- Handle electrical maintenance of raw water pumps, clear water pumps, booster pumps and submersible pumps.
- Monitor and troubleshoot VFDs, soft starters, control panels and motor protection systems.
- Coordinate with mechanical and instrumentation teams for pump and equipment maintenance.
- Assist with PLC/SCADA-based pump control and automation systems.
- Read and understand electrical drawings, SLDs, wiring diagrams and panel drawings.
- Conduct regular inspection of motors, pumps, panels, cables, earthing and electrical equipment.
- Identify electrical faults and take corrective action to minimize downtime.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown reports, checklists and daily maintenance records.
- Monitor electrical parameters such as voltage, current, load and power factor.
- Coordinate with electrical contractors, technicians and vendors for maintenance activities.




- Support testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
- Ensure proper cable termination, earthing and electrical safety at site.
- Follow LOTO, PPE and project safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the client/consultant and project team for inspections and technical issues.
- Maintain spare-parts requirements and coordinate for timely replacement of critical components.

Required Technical Skills

- Electrical maintenance experience in water supply / WTP / pumping station projects.
- Good knowledge of pumps and motors.
- Knowledge of HT/LT panels, MCC, PCC, transformers and DG sets.
- Hands-on knowledge of VFDs, starters, contactors, relays and protection systems.
- Basic knowledge of PLC, SCADA and instrumentation.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and SLDs.
- Good electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience.
- Candidates with experience in water supply, WTP, pumping stations, STP/ETP or infrastructure projects will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Candidates who have hands-on experience with water pumping systems, pump houses, motors, VFDs, MCC panels, HT/LT systems and PLC/SCADA will be preferred.
