To ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment at the solar power plant. The role is responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, breakdown management, performance monitoring, electrical safety, and maintaining plant availability and generation efficiency.

Job Reasonability:

Electrical Operations:

§ Monitor and ensure smooth operation of all electrical systems and equipment of the solar power plant.

§ Monitor HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, inverters, SCADA, DC systems, and auxiliary systems.

§ Monitor daily generation, electrical parameters, equipment status, alarms, and plant availability.

§ Ensure compliance with approved SOPs, operating procedures, and electrical safety standards.

§ Coordinate with the grid/substation team for synchronization, shutdowns, isolation, and restoration activities.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:

§ Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities for electrical equipment.

§ Carry out inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of: (HT/LT panels and switchgear, Power and auxiliary transformers, Inverters/PCUs, HT/LT cables and cable termination, AC/DC distribution systems, Protection relays, Battery and charger systems, Earthing and lightning protection systems, Solar plant electrical balance-of-system equipment)





§ Attend electrical breakdowns and restore equipment within the minimum possible downtime.

§ Coordinate with OEMs and external agencies for specialized maintenance and troubleshooting

Testing & Inspection:

§ Conduct routine inspection and testing of electrical equipment as per the maintenance schedule.

§ Ensure testing/calibration of protection relays, meters, sensors, and other electrical instruments.

§ Review electrical test reports and identify abnormalities.

§ Maintain proper records of equipment health and maintenance history.

SCADA & Performance Monitoring:

§ Monitor plant performance through SCADA/monitoring systems.

§ Analyze generation losses, equipment downtime, inverter performance, and electrical losses.

§ Investigate abnormal generation trends and equipment alarms.

§ Coordinate with the O&M; team to minimize generation loss and improve plant availability.

Safety & Compliance:

- Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety procedures, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and statutory requirements.
- Ensure safe isolation and energization of electrical equipment.
- Conduct/participate in toolbox talks, safety inspections, and risk assessments.




- Ensure proper use of PPE and electrical safety equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions, incidents, near misses, and electrical hazards.
- Maintain required statutory inspection and compliance records.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly electrical maintenance reports.
- Maintain records of breakdowns, preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and equipment history.
- Track spare parts, critical electrical spares, and consumable requirements.
- Prepare maintenance schedules and follow up on pending activities.
- Analyze breakdown trends and prepare RCA reports for major failures.

Vendor & Team Coordination:

- Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, service providers, and testing agencies.
- Supervise electrical maintenance contractors and ensure quality of work.
- Support the Plant Head/O&M; Head in manpower planning and maintenance activities.
- Guide technicians and electricians in protected and effective maintenance practices

Qualifications and Skills Requirements: § Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.

§ 3–5 years of relevant experience in Electrical O&M.;

§ Experience in Solar Power Plant O&M; will be preferred.

§ Candidates with experience in HT substations, power generation plants, industrial electrical maintenance, or renewable energy projects may also be considered.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
