As an Electrical Design Engineer at SgurrEnergy, you will be instrumental in developing robust and efficient electrical designs for our diverse portfolio of solar projects. We are looking for a professional who can bring a blend of strong technical acumen and practical experience in the solar domain.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and execute the electrical design for utility-scale solar power projects, from initial concept through to detailed engineering and construction support.
- Prepare and review comprehensive electrical drawings, including single line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, cable routing, earthing layouts,



and equipment layouts using industry-standard software.
- Perform detailed calculations for system sizing, voltage drop analysis, short circuit studies, cable selection, and protection device coordination to ensure optimal system performance and safety.
- Utilize specialized design and simulation software such as AutoCAD and PV Syst for accurate project modeling, analysis, and documentation.
- Ensure all electrical designs adhere strictly to relevant national and international codes, standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, IS), and project-specific requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless project integration and timely delivery.
- Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, including resolving site-related design queries and conducting site inspections.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in solar PV technology, electrical design practices, and regulatory changes to incorporate best practices into projects.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 3 to 8 years of progressive experience in electrical design, with mandatory experience specifically on renewable energy projects, particularly solar.
- Demonstrated hands-on working knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD for technical drafting and precise electrical design documentation.
- Proven expertise in PV Syst software for solar PV system performance simulation, energy yield assessment, and system optimization is highly preferred.




- Strong foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles, power systems, and grid integration aspects related to solar power plants.
- Ability to interpret and apply relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations effectively in design solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
