We are looking for an experienced Python/Django Backend Developer to design, build, and scale the backend systems that power our product ecosystem. This role requires strong ownership of architectural decisions, hands-on coding experience across multiple frameworks, and the ability to guide the team through planning, code reviews, and technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python, Django, Django REST Framework (DRF), and FastAPI.
- Architect and manage relational databases (PostgreSQL and MySQL), including schema design, query optimization, indexing, and database lock management.
- Reliably handle high-throughput, concurrent database read/write operations.
- Implement caching strategies using Redis.
- Build and manage background and asynchronous workflows using Celery and Celery Beat.
- Work with Kafka for cross-application and event-driven messaging.
- Implement real-time features using WebSockets, Django Channels, and native WebSocket support in FastAPI.
- Plan and design microservices, modular monolithic, and monolithic architectures based on project requirements.
- Own API design and planning, including versioning and contract design.
- Deploy and manage services using Gunicorn/Uvicorn and Nginx.
- Apply strong OOP principles, data structures and algorithms, and problem-solving skills to write efficient and maintainable code.
- Write unit and integration tests, and debug and resolve production issues.
- Work with ORMs and demonstrate a working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database concepts.
- Maintain code quality using pre-commit hooks and SonarQube.
- Use Git for version control and follow Agile/Scrum practices.
- Document APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI.




- Set up and monitor systems using tools such as the ELK Stack, Grafana, and Sentry.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT and OAuth2.
- Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Plan, divide, and prioritize work across the team; conduct code reviews; and guide junior and mid-level developers.

- 3–5 years of hands-on backend development experience, with demonstrated ownership of architectural decisions, database design, and production-grade system performance.
