Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in CI/CD, Jenkins, Linux, and on-premises infrastructure . The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with physical/virtual infrastructure, troubleshooting Linux systems and networks, automating operational tasks, and supporting production-grade CI/CD environments.

This role is primarily focused on on-prem infrastructure and DevOps operations , rather than public-cloud-based DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve CI/CD pipelines, primarily using Jenkins.
- Administer and support Jenkins controllers, agents, jobs, plugins, and build environments.
- Troubleshoot CI/CD failures across application, infrastructure, networking, and operating-system layers.
- Manage and support Linux-based on-premises infrastructure.
- Perform Linux system administration, performance troubleshooting, package management, storage/filesystem management, and service management.
- Work with physical servers, virtual machines,



and on-prem compute environments.
- Troubleshoot basic-to-intermediate networking issues.
- Develop automation and operational tooling using Python and/or Bash scripting.
- Automate repetitive infrastructure, deployment, configuration, and operational activities.
- Participate in incident troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and production support.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Linux administration and troubleshooting .
- Strong experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines .
- Good understanding of CI/CD concepts, build pipelines, deployment workflows, and automation.
- Strong hands-on experience working with on-premises infrastructure .
- Positive understanding of networking fundamentals .

Strongly Preferred

- Automation scripting using Python and/or Bash .
- Experience with on-prem infrastructure , including physical servers and virtual machines.
- Incident and production support experience with RCA .
- Experience with on-prem virtualization platforms such as VMware or KVM .
- Exposure to configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef .
- Familiarity with Storage/SAN or backup infrastructure .
