Profile Summary We are looking for a Resident Engineer L1 to provide onsite IT and end-user support at the Tata Capital client location. The candidate will be responsible for resolving day-to-day technical issues related to desktops, laptops, Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, networking, printers and other IT peripherals while ensuring timely resolution of incidents within defined SLAs.

The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills, good communication and the ability to independently handle end-user issues at the client site.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide onsite L1 technical support to Tata Capital employees.
- Diagnose and resolve day-to-day desktop, laptop, hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 operating systems.
- Perform OS installation, formatting, imaging, driver installation and system configuration.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.
- Troubleshoot Outlook, email, Microsoft 365 login and activation-related issues.
- Perform basic Active Directory activities such as password reset, account unlock, domain login and group/access support.
- Troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP-related issues.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot local and network printers, scanners and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot hardware components such as RAM, HDD/SSD, keyboard, mouse, monitor, docking station, webcam and audio devices.
- Install and troubleshoot business applications and software required by end users.




- Provide remote support whenever required using approved remote-support tools.
- Perform basic data backup, recovery and system upgrade activities.
- Log, update, monitor and close incidents through the ticketing/ITSM tool.
- Prioritize incidents based on severity, business impact and SLA.
- Follow up with users and relevant technical teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 teams with complete troubleshooting details.
- Maintain proper documentation of incidents, resolutions, assets and user requests.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors and client teams whenever required.
- Ensure all supported systems are updated and compliant with company security policies.
- Maintain professional communication and good customer service while dealing with end users.

Required Technical Skills

- Hands-on experience in Desktop / End User Support.
- Valuable knowledge of Windows OS installation and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Outlook and Teams.
- Basic to good knowledge of Active Directory.
- Knowledge of LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with desktop/laptop hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience in printer and scanner configuration and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of software installation and application troubleshooting.
- Experience working with ticketing/ITSM tools.
- Knowledge of remote-support tools.
- Good understanding of incident management and SLA-based support.

Candidate Profile

- 1–4 years of relevant experience in Desktop Support, End User Support or Resident Engineer roles.
- Good verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
- Good end-user/customer handling skills.
- Ability to work independently at a client location.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts and 6-day working schedules.
- Should be comfortable working on SVN Systech India Pvt. Ltd. payroll at the Tata Capital client site.
