Desktop Support Engineer (Nashik,Pune,Mumbai) L1/L2

Roles & Responsibilities

- Provide onsite and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, workstations, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Demonstrate strong hands-on knowledge of computer hardware, including motherboards, processors, RAM, HDD/SSD, SMPS, power systems, graphics cards, display components, and peripheral devices.
- Perform hands-on hardware troubleshooting, diagnosis, replacement, installation, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot LAN connectivity, network ports, Ethernet cables, switches, patch panels, IP configuration, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and basic network connectivity issues.
- Configure and troubleshoot LAN-connected desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other network devices.
- Diagnose network issues such as no connectivity, limited connectivity, IP conflicts, slow network access, cable faults, port issues, and intermittent connectivity.
- Perform basic switch-port troubleshooting and coordinate with network teams for complex network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, device drivers, BIOS/UEFI settings, and standard business applications.
- Perform OS installation, system formatting, imaging, cloning, software installation, patching, and system configuration.
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and basic internet connectivity issues.




- Configure and troubleshoot printers, scanners, monitors, docking stations, barcode devices, and other IT peripherals.
- Provide technical support for Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, antivirus, and other enterprise applications.
- Perform hardware upgrades, including RAM, SSD/HDD, batteries, adapters, and other replaceable components.
- Manage incidents and service requests through the IT ticketing system and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, hardware records, warranty information, and equipment allocation records.
- Support user onboarding and offboarding, including device preparation, configuration, allocation, and collection.
- Coordinate with hardware vendors and service providers for repairs, replacements, warranty claims, and technical escalations.
- Ensure endpoint devices comply with organizational security, antivirus, patching, and configuration standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of troubleshooting procedures, hardware replacements, network issues, and resolutions.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure desktops, laptops, LAN connectivity, and IT peripherals remain reliable and operational.
- Provide clear technical guidance to end users and maintain skilled communication while resolving technical issues.
