- Tool Design & Development: Design and develop moulds and electrodes using CAD (NX) software in accordance with customer specifications and internal standards.
- Feasibility Study: Evaluate manufacturability and functionality of new parts from a tooling perspective.
- Tool Repair Support: Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to support critical tool repairs and ensure minimum downtime.
- Design Documentation & Release: Prepare and publish complete design documentation including tool part drawings and BOMs.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand requirements, provide technical support, and manage design-related queries.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements in mould design for better productivity and durability.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with production, quality, and procurement teams for tool development and troubleshooting.
Preferred candidate profile
- Proficiency in 3D/2D design tools (UG NX).
- Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes, materials, and toolmaking techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Analytical skills to assess part/tool feasibility and troubleshooting issues.
- Positive communication skills for customer and team interaction.
- Time management and multitasking ability under tight deadlines.
