Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Deputy Chief Engineer role based at Atmantan Wellness Centre in Mulshi.

The Deputy Chief

Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in overseeing the maintenance, operation, and safety of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and civil systems across the property. Daily responsibilities include planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with contractors and vendors, monitoring energy usage, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves inspecting facilities, responding to urgent technical issues, maintaining documentation and maintenance logs, and collaborating with other departments to minimize downtime and enhance guest comfort.

The Deputy Chief

Engineer also assists in budgeting for engineering projects,



training and guiding the maintenance team, and driving continuous improvement in facility performance.

Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building maintenance systems, with hands-on troubleshooting and repair abilities.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning, asset management, and use of maintenance management software or tools.
- Sound understanding of safety standards, statutory regulations, and compliance related to building operations and engineering services.
- Proven ability to supervise and train maintenance staff, delegate tasks effectively, and coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly to operational issues.
- Background in hotel, resort, hospital, or large facility engineering is preferred; experience in wellness or hospitality environments is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field, with relevant industry certifications considered a plus.
- Willingness to work on-site in Mulshi and be available for rotational shifts and emergency call-outs as required by operations.
