Job Purpose
As part of the AI, Data and Digital services practice, you will partner with a leading US regional bank's Enterprise Commercial Analytics team to deliver data analytics, business intelligence, automation, and reporting solutions across Payments Analytics, Business Banking, and Risk Analytics. Operating within Acuity's Center of Expertise (CoE) model, you will help transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, enhance operational effectiveness, and improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the client LOB teams to build curated data sets for Enterprise Commercial Analytics team.
- Translate client challenges into actionable business intelligence solutions by partnering with subject matter experts at the bank
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions and translate business requirements into technical specifications, data models, and analytical solutions.
- Acquire proprietary data from on-prem data warehouses and Google cloud to create smart analytical solutions
- Perform data preparation activities in support of analytics, reporting and automation. Develop and manage bespoke extract, transform, load (ETL) processes. Create centralized, analytical data marts across various projects to support analysis across multiple business units
- Ability to transform high-level requirements into data visualizations in Tableau, which will allow business users to answer common questions and interact with data to answer more complex questions
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines, queries, reports, and dashboards to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced business insights through data-driven approaches.
- Understand the logics of various business fields/columns and implement them
- Make modifications to the logics based on user requirements. Also, undertake adhoc data requests.
- Experience in migrating reports from one platform to another platform.
- Experience of understanding the framework of on-prem database structure and the related tables/views.
- Maintain extract, transform, load (ETL) processes connecting data warehouses to analytical platforms
- Evaluate ongoing automation of underlying manual processes
- Investigate underlying data sets and derive actionable analytical insights using quantitative techniques
- Study and research on the domain functionalities to add value to the analytical findings
- Ensure meticulous documentation of processes, meta data, query logic, and results
- Perform balance & control, testing and/or other validation activities to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure quality of data, analysis and reporting of the overall process
- Building positive rapport and trust with client
Key competencies
- Strong SQL, Python, ETL, and data warehousing expertise.
- Proficiency in Tableau and business intelligence reporting solutions.
- Experience working with on-premise and cloud-based data platforms (GCP preferred).
- Strong analytical and quantitative aptitude with the ability to interpret complex data, identify
patterns, solve business problems through critical thinking, and generate actionable insights while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of banking, payments, business banking, and risk analytics domains.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data and analytics solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to data quality, documentation, governance, and continuous process improvement.
