Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Database Administrator with monitoring knowledge to help manage and monitor our MongoDB and Progress OpenEdge databases and ensure they run reliably and at optimum performance.

The candidate will work closely with the Senior DevOps/technical team to monitor database and system health, identify issues early, and assist in resolving them. The role will also involve using AI-based tools for database monitoring and performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

● Monitor MongoDB instances for health, performance and availability.

● Assist in identifying and analysing long-running/slow queries.

● Support day-to-day management of Progress OpenEdge databases, including database extents and services.

● Monitor database and related system alerts, and escalate issues to the Senior DevOps team as needed.

● Assist in identifying potential database issues proactively and suggesting improvements.

● Help ensure databases operate at optimum performance levels.

● Support logging, tracking and basic Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documentation for database-related incidents.

● Use AI-based tools to assist with database monitoring, performance analysis and issue identification.

● Maintain proper documentation of database issues, monitoring activities and resolutions.

● Participate in rotational weekend/holiday database support when required.

Requirements





● 1–2 years of experience in Database Administration, Database Monitoring, DevOps or a related role.

● Basic working knowledge of MongoDB.

● Exposure to Progress OpenEdge will be an advantage.

● Basic understanding of database performance concepts and query optimization.

● Familiarity with monitoring tools/dashboards is a plus.

● Good troubleshooting and analytical mindset.

● Willingness to learn and use AI-based monitoring and analysis tools.

● Good communication and documentation skills.

Weekend/Holiday Support

● Rotational weekend coverage is required.

● Weekends are primarily Saturday, with occasional Sunday coverage.

● Weekend/Holiday work will be Work From Home.

● Work performed on weekends/holidays will be compensated through Weekly Comp Off.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
