RED is looking for a Data Steward for a remote/India 1 year contract with one of our biggest global clients!

Duties:

- Data Quality Management:

Monitor data for accuracy, duplicates, and missing values, fixing errors before they impact downstream systems.

- Metadata & Documentation:

Maintain data catalogs, business glossaries, and uniform definitions for key terms (e.g., "active product" or "net sales").

- Policy Enforcement:

Translate high-level data governance rules into day-to-day data entry and collection practices.

- Compliance & Security:

Ensure data usage aligns with privacy regulations (such as GDPR or HIPAA) and control data access.

- Liaison Communication:

Bridge the gap between technical IT staff and business stakeholders by translating technical constraints and business requirements.

Essential Skills

- Technical Skills:

Proficiency in SQL, familiarity with relational databases,



data catalogs, Python, and data governance or master data management (MDM) platforms.

- Extensive ands on experience in the Pharma industry.

- Analytical Skills:

Solid data analysis capabilities to spot trends, track lineage, troubleshoot data corruption, and evaluate internal quality metrics.

- Business Acumen:

Deep understanding of the organization's specific data domain, operations, and how data usage impacts business performance.

- Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

Excellent communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills to train staff, resolve silos, and build consensus.
