About the Role:





We are looking for a seasoned Data & Solution Architect to design and lead end-to-end data and technology architectures for commercial pharma engagements — spanning field force effectiveness, sales & marketing analytics, market access, patient services, and real-world data/evidence. This is a client-facing architecture role: you will define reference architectures, own key technology decisions, and act as the technical anchor across delivery and pre-sales.

The ideal candidate has deep commercial pharma domain knowledge combined with strong hands-on data architecture skills across up-to-date cloud and analytics platforms, and is comfortable operating at both the whiteboard (client strategy conversations) and the blueprint (data models, pipelines, integration patterns) level.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect end-to-end data and solution designs for commercial pharma use cases — Field CRM, sales force effectiveness, territory/incentive management, forecasting, market access, patient support programs, and real-world evidence (RWE).

- Design scalable data models, master data management (MDM) frameworks, and ETL/ELT pipelines for pharma-specific data domains: HCP/HCO data, call activity and sales data, specialty/patient hub data, claims, and market research data.

- Define reference architectures for AI/ML- and GenAI-enabled commercial solutions (forecasting engines, next-best-action, account intelligence, competitive intelligence).

- Own technology stack decisions across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric), and integration/API layers.

- Design and govern integration patterns with commercial CRM platforms (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce Health/Life Sciences Cloud) and third-party pharma data providers.

- Ensure architectures meet relevant compliance and data privacy requirements (HIPAA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and regional data protection regulations).

- Partner with sales and pursuit teams on RFP responses, solution architecture diagrams, and technical proposal content.





- Act as a trusted technical advisor to client stakeholders (CDAO, IT leadership, commercial operations) throughout the engagement lifecycle.

- Mentor engineering and data teams; establish architecture governance, standards, and best practices across projects.

· Stay current on emerging trends in pharma commercial data ecosystems and AI/agentic architectures, translating them into practical solution designs.

Requirements

- 10+ years of experience in data architecture and/or solution architecture roles, including at least 5+ years focused on commercial pharma or broader life sciences.

- Deep working knowledge of pharma commercial data domains: HCP/HCO master data, sales and call activity data, specialty pharmacy/patient data, claims data, and market research/RWE datasets.

- Hands-on architecture experience with modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse/Fabric, AWS Redshift, or equivalent).

- Strong foundation in data modeling, MDM, ETL/ELT design, and API/integration architecture.

- Experience architecting around commercial CRM platforms (Veeva CRM/Vault, Salesforce Health Cloud, or similar).

- Working knowledge of pharma regulatory and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GxP, 21 CFR Part 11).

- Exposure to AI/ML solution architecture — forecasting models, recommendation engines, or GenAI/agentic system design — is a strong plus.

- Excellent client-facing communication skills, with experience in pre-sales, solutioning, or RFP response processes.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice to Have

- Prior experience with IQVIA, Symphony Health, or other third-party pharma commercial data sources.

- Consulting background (global consultancies, pharma-focused analytics firms, or Big 4).

- Experience designing multi-agent or AI-driven commercial intelligence platforms.

- Based in or open to relocating to Pune; comfortable working with distributed/global teams if fully remote.
