Data Engineering Manager

As a Data Engineering Manager, you will define the end-to-end architecture and long-term roadmap for vidaXL’s enterprise data platforms, analytical systems, AI/ML/Data Science capabilities, and cross domain data integrations. You will ensure the Data & Analytics ecosystem is scalable, secure, governed, automation ready, and fully aligned with business strategy and future growth.

You will:

- Define the enterprise-wide Data & Analytics architecture & project roadmap across ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, reporting, and AI/ML/Data Science.
- Own the architecture for the GCP based data platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, orchestration, and automation frameworks.
- Configure data pipelines to ingest data from multiple business systems via APIs, Cloud SQL, scripts, FTP/SFTP etc.
- Architect, define, plan, execute & deliver the future-state data infrastructure on GCP and BigQuery for optimized performance and scalability.
- Design scalable data models, datamarts, semantic layers, and self-service analytics foundations.
- Lead & deliver a stable architecture for technical integration of data lake platform with SAP (using SNP Glue) , Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud etc.

You have:

- 3+ years of experience as Data Solution Architect or Data Engineering Manager leading a team of Data or AI/ML engineers
- 10+ years of experience in Data engineering and Modelling of DataMarts or business semantic data layers, BI, Analytics, AI/ML solutions in a large scale Lakehouse architecture
- Solid experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer, GCP Dataflow, Dataform etc. Design infrastructure code (IaC)



for data services using Terraform.
- Strong experience designing enterprise-scale data & analytics solutions on cloud platforms (GCP – Highly Desirable).
- Proficiency with Looker reporting tool and designing the semantic data layer underneath it is highly desired
- Strong SQL skills and proficiency with Python.
- Experience integrating with SAP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, e‑commerce platforms, and enterprise systems.
