Role: Data Engineer with SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS)
Location: Remote (with 1 visit to office during joining for 3-4 weeks) or Bangalore (2-3 days/office)
Experience: 3+ Years
Employment Type: Contract (Dedicated on single project)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer / ETL Developer with strong hands-on experience in SSIS, SQL, PL/SQL,
stored procedures, and data integration. The role involves developing and optimizing ETL workflows,
integrating data science and forecasting components, and supporting scalable data solutions for demand forecasting and supply chain planning.
Mandatory Skills
- 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Data Integration.
- Strong hands-on experience with SSIS, SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and ETL development.
- Good understanding of SSIS package design, deployment, scheduling, logging, error handling, and
performance tuning.
- Strong knowledge of DBMS, database design, data governance, data warehousing and dimensional
modeling including Star/Snowflake schemas.
- Experience integrating data from databases, files, APIs, XML, JSON, and enterprise applications.
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for data processing and automation.
- Knowledge of Apache Spark and large-volume data processing.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and modify SSIS packages, ETL workflows, SQL/PL-SQL queries, procedures, and related
data integrations.
- Integrate forecasting models, ML components, plugin scripts, and database procedures with
product platforms.
- Design and optimize data pipelines, queries, storage, and retrieval processes for performance and
scalability.
- Work with data scientists, analysts, and functional consultants to understand requirements and
deliver scalable integration solutions.
- Develop test plans, perform sanity checks, document defects, and support issue resolution.
- Monitor data systems, troubleshoot integration issues, and ensure data accuracy, reliability, security,
and privacy.
- Support deployments, production monitoring, and successful project delivery.
Valuable-to-Have Skills
- Experience with o9 Solutions or similar supply chain planning platforms.
- Azure Data Factory and Azure SSIS Integration Runtime.
- Power BI / Tableau.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning frameworks and model integration.
- Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and SQL Server Agent.
- Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and data privacy practices.
Qualifications/Abilities
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership, strong analytical, problem-solving,
communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
