Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Cutting Operator to handle cutting operations for sheet metal and fabrication components. The candidate will be responsible for machine operation, program loading, material verification, setting machine parameters, cutting components as per drawings, quality inspection and basic machine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC cutting machines for sheet metal and fabrication work.

- Load and run cutting programs as per production requirements.

- Set appropriate machine parameters according to material type and thickness.

- Verify material grade, type and thickness before starting cutting operations.

- Read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.

- Perform cutting operations as per drawings, dimensions and nesting requirements.

- Ensure proper material positioning and machine setup.

- Monitor cutting quality and identify defects such as burrs, incomplete cuts, rough edges or dimensional variations.

- Check cut components using appropriate measuring instruments.

- Ensure components are produced according to required dimensions and specifications.

- Monitor machine performance during operation and report abnormalities.

- Ensure optimum material utilization and minimize material wastage.

- Maintain proper identification and segregation of finished/cut components.

- Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.





- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around the cutting area.

- Coordinate with the Fabrication Supervisor / Production Manager regarding production requirements.

- Follow all prescribed safety procedures and PPE requirements.

- Report machine breakdowns, quality issues or process-related problems to the supervisor.

Required Skills

- Hands-on experience in CNC cutting machine operation.

- Knowledge of sheet metal cutting and fabrication processes.

- Ability to read and understand engineering/fabrication drawings.

- Knowledge of different sheet metal materials and thicknesses.

- Basic knowledge of CNC programs and machine settings.

- Understanding of cutting layouts/nesting.

- Ability to use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer and Steel Scale.

- Basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance knowledge.

- Good attention to detail and quality awareness.

- Ability to work according to production targets.

Preferred Candidate

- ITI / Diploma in Fitter, Mechanical or Sheet Metal.

- 1–5 years of relevant experience in cutting/fabrication/manufacturing.

- Candidates with experience operating CNC cutting machines will be preferred.

- Experience in a sheet metal or fabrication manufacturing environment will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
