Cutting Master

Job Summary:

Responsible for managing the cutting section and ensuring accurate, efficient, and quality cutting of fabrics as per approved patterns, measurements, and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Check fabric quality, width, shade, and quantity before cutting.

- Arrange and spread fabric properly according to the cutting plan.

- Prepare and position patterns/markers accurately.

- Cut fabric as per approved measurements and specifications.

- Ensure minimum fabric wastage during cutting.

- Maintain accuracy in cutting to avoid size and measurement issues.

- Coordinate with the production and stitching team regarding cutting requirements.

- Check cut panels before sending them for stitching.

- Maintain proper records of fabric consumption and cut quantities.

- Handle and maintain cutting machines, tools, and equipment safely.

- Ensure timely completion of cutting as per production schedules.

- Guide and supervise cutting helpers and workers.





- Follow quality and safety standards in the cutting department.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of garment cutting and pattern handling.

- Robust understanding of measurements and garment construction.

- Ability to minimize fabric wastage.

- Knowledge of industrial uniforms, shirts, trousers, lab coats, coveralls, etc. is an advantage.

- Good team coordination and time-management skills.

- Experience in operating cutting machines.

- Performance Indicators (KPI)

- Cutting accuracy and quality.

- Fabric utilization percentage.

- Reduction in fabric wastage.

- Number of cutting defects/rework.

- Timely completion of cutting plans.

- Correct size and quantity of cut panels.

- Proper bundle preparation and identification.

- Productivity of the cutting team.

- Compliance with safety procedures.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
