Company Description Uphold India is a grassroots non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to uplifting underprivileged and vulnerable communities through sustainable development and social welfare initiatives. With over 25 years of experience, the organization focuses on child welfare, healthcare, WaSH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), tribal community support, HIV/AIDS and leprosy assistance, vocational skills training, and preventing child marriages.

India operates with the philosophy of “Think Global, Act Local,” partnering with Childline 1098 and JRC (Just Rights for Children) to expand its impact. The organization has adopted 300 villages to make them child marriage-free and 45 villages under the WaSH project, with plans to extend sanitation and hygiene interventions and adopt 45 more villages. Its primary areas of focus are four districts in North Andhra Pradesh: Srikakulam, Manyam Parvitha Puram, ASR Paderu, and Visakhapatnam.
Role Description The CSR Communication Executive will be responsible for planning, creating, and managing communication materials that highlight Uphold India’s community development and child welfare initiatives. This full-time, on-site role based in Srikakulam involves drafting reports, case studies, newsletters, social media content, and campaign materials to engage stakeholders, donors, partners, and community members. The role includes coordinating with field teams to gather stories and data, maintaining consistent messaging across channels,
and supporting advocacy and awareness campaigns on issues such as child marriage prevention and WaSH.
The CSR Communication Executive will also assist in organizing events and outreach activities, preparing presentations, and ensuring accurate documentation of project outcomes. Collaboration with program staff, partners, and local communities is essential to communicate impact and strengthen the organization’s visibility.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages, including report writing, storytelling, and preparation of communication materials.
- Experience in social sector or CSR communications, public relations, or advocacy, preferably in areas such as child welfare, healthcare, or community development.
- Ability to develop and manage content for multiple channels (print, digital, social media) with attention to clarity, accuracy, and cultural sensitivity.
- Skills in stakeholder engagement, including working with communities, partners, donors, and government agencies in a professional and respectful manner.
- Basic proficiency with office and communication tools (e.g., MS Office, email, social media platforms); familiarity with straightforward design or presentation tools is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a field-based environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Social Work, Development Studies, Journalism, or a related field;
