Role Description The Credit Analyst role at IBSFINCORP is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai.

The Credit

Analyst will review and analyze financial statements, bank records, and business performance data to assess the creditworthiness of MSME and SME clients. This role involves preparing credit assessment reports, recommending loan structures and limits, and monitoring existing loan portfolios for risk indicators.

Analyst will collaborate with relationship managers, banks, and NBFC partners to support loan approvals, ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate documentation. The role also includes updating internal systems, participating in process improvements,



and providing insights to support risk management and business growth.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements, cash flow projections, and key credit metrics.
- Knowledge of credit risk assessment, lending practices, and banking or NBFC products relevant to MSMEs and SMEs.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial analysis tools; familiarity with loan management or credit evaluation software is an advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple credit files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Credit Analyst or in corporate/SME lending, banking, or NBFCs is preferred.
- Understanding of the MSME/SME business landscape and local market dynamics, particularly in Chennai and surrounding regions.
- High level of professional integrity, adherence to compliance standards, and commitment to fair, unbiased credit evaluation.
