- - Creative Editor
- Location: Hybrid
- Type: Full-time
- Experience: 1 to 2 years editing video and designing social creatives.
- The role
- We publish across long-form video, Instagram reels, and social creative every week, and we need this to look and feel like Wocult every single time. We're looking for someone who can cut a podcast-length interview into a tight, publish-ready episode, then turn around a week's worth of reels and social creatives without losing an ounce of quality. You'll work across Leaders Unscripted (our long-form interview show), Wocult Instagram reels, and the carousels and quote cards that carry our day-to-day social presence.
- This is a hands-on production role, not an ideas role. We need someone who can sit down with raw footage and a brand kit and come back with something ready to publish, on a weekly cadence.
- What you'll do
- • Edit long-form interview and podcast footage into publish-ready episodes: cuts, colour, audio sync, and captions
- • Cut short-form Instagram reels from raw and produced footage, finding the sharpest 15 to 45 second moments and reframing for vertical
- • Design social creatives (carousels, quote cards, story assets) in Canva and Adobe that stay inside Wocult's brand system
- • Work from Wocult's Canva brand kit and existing templates so every asset is on-brand without rebuilding from scratch each time
- • Add captions, light motion graphics, and animation (After Effects) where a static cut needs more
- • Turn around reels and social creative on a weekly publishing cadence, not a monthly one
- • Keep raw and edited footage and assets organised so nothing gets lost between projects
- What we need
- • Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro: cutting, colour correction, audio sync, and captioning
- • Strong working knowledge of Canva, including brand kits and carousel/quote-card workflows
- • Comfort with Photoshop or Illustrator for asset creation beyond templates
- • An eye for pacing: knowing which 20 seconds of a 40-minute interview is the reel
- • Understanding of short-form format: vertical framing, hook in the first three seconds, caption timing
- • Ability to work from a brief and a brand system without needing every decision spelled out
- • Comfort with fast turnaround and a real publishing schedule
- Who you are
- • A go-getter: you chase down what a piece needs (an extra shot, a missing asset, a clearer brief) instead of waiting to be told
- • Able to work independently: you take a brief and run with it, without needing daily check-ins to move forward
- • Proactive: you flag a better idea or a problem before it's asked for, not just after
- • Humble: you take feedback and reshoots in stride, and you're more invested in the work being positive than in being right about it
- Nice to have
- • After Effects for motion graphics and animation
- • Experience with AI image or video tools for supplementary visual content
- • Prior experience with editorial or media brands, and an ear for tone and voice consistency
- • Basic sound design or audio mixing
- How to apply
- Send a short reel of your edits (raw-to-cut examples if you have them) along with two or three static social designs you've made. We want to see your cuts and your eye, not a resume.
