Counsellor

Educational Qualification

Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Psychology / Applied Psychology or a related field.

Relevant professional certification in counselling will be an added advantage.

Experience

3–5 years of relevant experience in counselling, preferably in an educational institution, corporate organization, social organization, or similar environment.

Experience in handling one-to-one counselling, behavioural concerns, career guidance, and sensitive situations will be preferred.

Responsibilities

- Experience in handling one-to-one counselling, behavioural concerns, career guidance, and sensitive situations will be preferred.
- Conduct individual counselling sessions and provide appropriate emotional, behavioural, academic, career, or personal guidance as required.
- Understand and assess concerns through active listening, structured discussions, and appropriate counselling techniques.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and confidential environment for individuals seeking counselling.
- Assist individuals in identifying concerns, developing coping strategies, and making informed decisions.
- Provide guidance on interpersonal, workplace, academic, career, and other relevant concerns.
- Identify situations requiring specialized skilled intervention and recommend referral to appropriate external professionals or specialists, wherever necessary.
- Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions, observations, follow-ups, and interventions in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards.
- Conduct follow-up sessions to monitor progress and provide continued support where required.
