Key Responsibilities

Cost Accounting & Product Costing

- Prepare and maintain standard costs for billets, TMT bars, and by-products (scale, slag, etc.)
- Compute process-wise cost (Melting Shop/SMS, Rolling Mill) including yield, conversion cost, and burning loss
- Track and analyze raw material consumption (iron ore/sponge iron/scrap) vs. standard norms
- Prepare cost sheets for each grade/size of TMT bars produced

Yield & Variance Analysis

- Monitor metallic yield, rolling yield, and power/fuel consumption against budgeted norms
- Investigate and report variances (material, labor, overhead) with root-cause analysis
- Track scrap generation, rejection, and rework costs

Budgeting & MIS

- Assist in preparation of annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports on production cost, per-ton conversion cost, and profitability
- Track power & fuel cost per ton, consumable costs, and other overheads

Inventory & Valuation

- Conduct physical stock verification of stores / raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
- Ensure correct inventory valuation as per costing standards and accounting policies (Ind AS)
- Reconcile stock records between production, stores, and finance

Compliance & Audit

- Maintain cost records as per Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules, if applicable
- Support internal, statutory,



and cost audits with required schedules and data
- Ensure compliance with GST/costing-related documentation

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Liaise with production, purchase, and quality departments to gather cost-relevant data
- Support pricing decisions by providing cost-plus analysis for different product grades
- Assist management with cost-reduction initiatives and process improvement studies

Key Skills Required

- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Familiarity with steel/TMT manufacturing process (SMS, Rolling Mill operations)
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Knowledge of Ind AS / Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of cost sheets and timeliness of MIS reports
- Reduction in cost variances (material, yield, power)
- Inventory accuracy %
- Turnaround time for audit/compliance data

Location: Chegunta

Experience: 3–6 years (in steel/TMT/manufacturing industry preferred)

Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CMA (Inter or Qualified) / CA Inter preferred

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
