About the Role

We are looking for a responsible, reliable, and well-mannered Cook cum Caretaker to manage the day-to-day cooking, cleanliness, basic maintenance, and guest care at a homestay.

The ideal candidate should be able to prepare tasty home-style meals, maintain hygiene, and ensure guests have a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Key Responsibilities

Cooking & Kitchen Management

- Prepare fresh and hygienic breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner as required.
- Cook Indian and regional/home-style cuisine.
- Prepare meals according to guest preferences and dietary requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and cooking utensils.
- Manage basic kitchen inventory and inform the owner when supplies are running low.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain proper food storage.

Guest Care

- Welcome and assist guests in a polite and professional manner.
- Serve food and beverages to guests when required.
- Attend to basic guest requirements and provide prompt assistance.
- Maintain a friendly, respectful, and hospitable environment.
- Coordinate with the owner/management regarding guest requirements or complaints.

Caretaking & Property Maintenance





- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, dining area, and other designated areas.
- Ensure rooms and property areas are kept neat and presentable.
- Monitor basic household facilities and report any damage or maintenance issues.
- Assist with laundry, linen changes, and other household tasks as required.
- Ensure the homestay is secure and properly maintained.

Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Cook, Caretaker, Housekeeper, or Homestay/Guest House Staff preferred.
- Good cooking skills and knowledge of Indian cuisine.
- Basic understanding of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Honest, trustworthy, responsible, and hardworking.
- Polite and courteous with guests.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically fit and willing to perform household and caretaking duties.
- Basic communication skills in Hindi; knowledge of English/local language will be an advantage.

Working Conditions
- Live-in position preferred.
- Accommodation and food provided.
- Working hours may vary depending on guest occupancy and requirements.
- Weekly off/leave as per employer policy.

Preferred Candidate Candidates with experience in homestays, resorts, guest houses, private residences, hotels, or hospitality services will be preferred.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
