Role & responsibilities

- Respond promptly to all code Blue announcements.
- Pre-anesthetic check up of cardiac surgical patients.
- To be a part of anesthesia team conducting cardiac surgery.
- Management of cardio-thoracic and vascular cases post-operatively.
- Maintenance of records (anesthesia/PAC) including narcotics in cardiac O.T.
- Management of post-operative pain in cardiac surgical patients.
- Active involvement in implementation of infection control measures.
- To provide monitored anesthesia care (ventilator, inotropes, invasive lines) and resuscitation of critically ill patients in Cath lab.
- To provide intensive care back up in C.C.U.
- Ensuring protected transportation of critically ill patients.
- To participate in seminars and teaching programs.
- To formulate the process improvement programs and carry on quality initiatives

in the department. To perform all other jobs as may be assigned due to exigencies of work.
