Role Overview:

We are looking for a Concept Designer who can take complete ownership of the concept and schematic design phase — from presales ideation to design development handover. This role demands sharp design thinking, strong visual communication, and the ability to deliver fast, compelling, and commercially viable concepts aligned with client briefs and project budgets. Reports directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Concept & Presales Design Ownership

- Lead concept development during the presales stage by deeply understanding client requirements and site context
- Apply design thinking to create cutting-edge, functional, and customised spatial solutions.
- Deliver mood boards, zoning layouts, material palettes, and presentations that improve conversion and client confidence.

2. Design Development & Documentation

- Translate approved concepts into detailed design intent documents for execution handover.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of concept packages to enable smooth GFC and working drawing stages.
- Drive material and finish approvals in line with project timelines.

3. Client Interface & Presentation

- Present and defend design concepts directly to senior client stakeholders.
- Ensure clear communication of design intent, material rationale, and spatial logic.
- Achieve a minimum client satisfaction score of 80% at the concept sign-off stage.

4. Cost & Budget Alignment

- Ensure all design selections are aligned with approved project budgets.
- Balance aesthetics, functionality, and commercial feasibility.
- Minimise rework through value engineering and smart material choices.

5. Fast & On-Time Concept Closure





- Drive concept closure within 10–15 days per project.
- Ensure timely client sign-offs to enable smooth transition to execution.
- Work closely with the Design Studio Head and Projects team to align concept timelines with delivery plans.

6. Team Collaboration & Mentoring

- Coordinate with junior designers and the visualisation team on concept deliverables
- Provide design direction and quality checks on team outputs.
- Contribute to building a high-output, design-led studio culture.

Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

- Concept closure within 10–15 days
- Client satisfaction score ≥ 80% at concept stage
- Zero rework due to brief misalignment
- Budget-compliant design selections
- Timely delivery of concept packages for execution handover

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's/Master's in Interior Design / Architecture
- 5–10 years of experience in commercial interior design with a strong fitout portfolio
- Mandatory software proficiency: AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Adobe Suite
- Proven ability to lead concept and schematic design independently
