Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Chef Cook to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head Chef, playing a vital hand in daily food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management. If you have a solid foundation in continental cuisine, a strong work ethic, and a passion for cooking, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow within a dynamic kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Food Preparation: Assist the Head Chef in prepping, chopping, seasoning, and organizing ingredients for continental dishes, including pizzas, pastas, burgers, salads, appetizers, and continental mains.
- Cooking & Execution: Cook and plate dishes consistently according to the kitchen’s quality standards, recipe guidelines, and portion controls.
- Kitchen Operations: Help manage kitchen inventory, monitor stock levels of fresh produce and dry goods, and report replenishment needs to the Head Chef.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain strict standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation across all workstations, prep areas, and equipment in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaboration:



Support the Head Chef and kitchen crew during peak service hours, ensuring smooth coordination between the line and the pass.
- Waste Reduction: Minimize food waste through proper handling, storage, and utilization of ingredients.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Proven experience working as a Line Cook, Commis Chef, or Prep Cook, specifically within a continental kitchen or cafe setting.
- Sound knowledge of continental cooking techniques, recipes, and western culinary standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure service hours with a positive attitude.
- Strong commitment to kitchen hygiene, personal grooming, and food safety standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by cafe operations.
