1. Commercial Operations

- Manage end-to-end commercial activities related to steel manufacturing and trading operations.
- Handle customer orders, sales contracts, quotations, purchase orders and commercial documentation.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Purchase, Finance, Stores and Dispatch teams for smooth order execution.
- Ensure timely order processing, invoicing, dispatch documentation and closure of customer orders.
- Monitor commercial MIS, order status, pending dispatches, outstanding payments and profitability.

1. Sales & Customer Commercial Management

- Review customer purchase orders, contracts, pricing, payment terms, taxes, freight and other commercial conditions.
- Ensure accurate billing as per agreed rates, specifications and contractual terms.
- Coordinate with customers regarding order amendments, shortages, claims, debit/credit notes and commercial disputes.
- Monitor customer outstanding and coordinate with Finance/Sales for timely collections.

1. Procurement & Vendor Coordination

- Coordinate with Purchase and vendors for timely procurement of raw materials, consumables and other requirements.
- Evaluate commercial terms including pricing, credit period, delivery schedules, freight and payment conditions.
- Maintain vendor records, purchase documentation and commercial performance data.
- Support negotiation with suppliers to achieve cost optimisation and favourable commercial terms.

1. Steel Industry Commercial Activities

- Handle commercial documentation related to steel products such as coils, sheets, plates, pipes, bars, structural steel and fabricated products.
- Monitor weight-based billing,



material specifications, quantity reconciliation and dispatch documentation.
- Coordinate reconciliation of production, stock, dispatch and invoicing quantities.
- Monitor material loss, shortages, excess quantities, rejections and customer claims.
- Coordinate with logistics teams for freight, transportation, delivery schedules and dispatch planning.

1. Inventory & Dispatch Coordination

- Monitor stock movement from production/store to dispatch.
- Coordinate dispatch planning based on customer orders and delivery commitments.
- Ensure proper documentation such as invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans and transport documents.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.

1. Commercial Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure compliance with applicable GST, e-invoicing, e-way bill and other statutory commercial requirements.
- Maintain proper records of purchase, sales, dispatch and vendor/customer transactions.
- Coordinate with Finance and auditors for commercial documentation and reconciliations.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, approval matrix and internal controls.

1. MIS & Commercial Analytics

- Prepare periodic commercial MIS covering:

- Sales and dispatch




- Order booking and order execution

- Customer outstanding

- Vendor outstanding

- Inventory

- Purchase and material costs

- Freight and logistics costs

- Price variance

- Receivables and ageing
- Analyse commercial data and provide management with actionable insights for cost and working-capital optimisation.

1. Team & Stakeholder Management

- Lead and guide the commercial team in day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate effectively with Sales, Purchase, Production, Stores, Logistics, Finance and senior management.
- Establish standard operating procedures and strengthen commercial controls.
- Resolve commercial issues and ensure timely closure of customer and vendor matters.

Qualification & Experience Qualification: Graduate in Commerce / Business Administration; MBA/PGDM in Finance or Supply Chain preferred.

Experience: 8-15 years of relevant commercial experience, preferably in the steel, metal, manufacturing, fabrication or engineering industry.

Preferred: Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar platforms.
