CNC TURNING MACHINE SETTER

Location: Mappedu, Chennai

Experience: 2–6 Years

Qualification: ITI / Diploma – Mechanical

Salary: ₹32,000 – ₹42,000 per month, based on experience

This is not just a machine-setting role. We are looking for someone who can achieve consistent quality, improve productivity, troubleshoot machining issues and maintain process stability.

Key Responsibilities :

- Independently set CNC Turning machines from drawing to first-off approval
- Perform tool setting, work offsets, wear offsets and job prove-out
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T; and tight tolerances
- Select appropriate tooling, inserts and cutting parameters
- Make tool/offset corrections and minor program modifications
- Monitor dimensions, surface finish, tool wear and process stability
- Troubleshoot machining problems and eliminate recurring defects
- Optimize cycle time, tool life and machine productivity
- Maintain first-piece and in-process quality requirements
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, Maintenance and Tooling teams
- Reduce rejection, rework, setup time and machine downtime
- Follow 5S, safety and continuous improvement practices

Technical Skills Required Candidates should have hands-on experience in:

- CNC Turning




- Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls
- G & M Codes
- Tooling & Inserts
- GD&T;
- Precision Measurement Instruments
- Tool & Wear Offset Setting
- Process Troubleshooting
- Minor CNC Program Modifications
- Cycle Time & Tool Life Optimization

Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:

- Automotive precision components
- High-volume production
- Precision machining
- Export-oriented manufacturing
- Tight-tolerance components
