About the Role
We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist / Psychologist with a strong interest and experience in clinical research to join an upcoming international research project focused on cognition, being undertaken in collaboration with an Australian university.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated psychology professional to contribute to an international collaborative research program while working within a multidisciplinary academic medical environment at AIMS.
The selected candidate will be involved in research-related clinical and psychological activities, including participant assessment, administration of standardized psychological and cognitive measures, data collection, documentation, and coordination of study-related activities.
The role would be particularly suited to a psychologist who has at least 2 years of research experience and is interested in developing further expertise in cognitive assessment, clinical research, and international academic collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the implementation and day-to-day conduct of the cognition-focused research project.
- Conduct and assist with psychological and cognitive assessments using standardized assessment tools and study-specific protocols.
- Recruit, screen, and assess research participants according to approved study procedures and eligibility criteria.
- Conduct structured clinical interviews and administer, score, and document relevant psychological and cognitive assessments.
- Maintain accurate and confidential participant records and research documentation.
- Assist with data collection, data entry, data quality checks, and study-related documentation.
- Ensure adherence to approved research protocols, ethical requirements, and institutional guidelines.
- Coordinate with investigators, clinicians, research staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in case discussions, research meetings, training sessions, and study-related meetings with the collaborating international research team.
- Assist with preparation of research reports, presentations, manuscripts, and other academic outputs, where applicable.
- Contribute to the smooth coordination and execution of study procedures at the clinical site.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards throughout all participant interactions and research activities.
- Support other relevant research and academic activities associated with the project.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant research experience.
- Experience in clinical, academic, hospital-based, or mental health research is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in psychological assessment and standardized testing.
- Familiarity with cognitive assessment and interpretation of psychological/cognitive measures is desirable.
- Experience with participant recruitment, clinical interviews, data collection, or research documentation will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of research methodology, ethical research practices, and principles of human-subject research.
- Relevant professional registration/licensure as applicable to the role and local regulatory requirements.
