Sumanam Engineering Services Consultant (SESC) is an established engineering consultancy providing MEP Consultancy, BIM Services, Lighting Design, and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for a wide range of projects.

We are looking for a Civil BIM Modeler with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience to join our BIM team in Trivandrum. The ideal candidate should have positive knowledge of Civil Engineering, Autodesk Revit, and BIM modeling workflows and should be willing to work in a collaborative project environment.

Job Summary The Civil BIM Modeler will be responsible for developing accurate and coordinated Civil BIM models based on engineering drawings, design inputs, specifications, and project requirements. The candidate will work closely with Civil Engineers, Architects, Structural Engineers, MEP Engineers, and other BIM team members to develop coordinated project models and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain accurate Civil BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
- Create Civil models based on design drawings, specifications, sketches, and other project inputs.
- Prepare and update BIM models according to project requirements and BIM standards.
- Develop plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and other required BIM outputs.
- Coordinate Civil BIM models with Architectural, Structural, and MEP models.
- Assist in BIM coordination and identify potential conflicts between different disciplines.
- Participate in clash detection and coordination activities using Navisworks or other coordination software.
- Review BIM models for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Incorporate design changes and revisions into the BIM model.
- Ensure that model elements are correctly placed, modeled, and categorized.
- Follow project-specific BIM standards,



naming conventions, modeling procedures, and LOD requirements.
- Maintain proper model organization and ensure that BIM deliverables are submitted within project timelines.
- Coordinate with engineers and senior BIM team members to clarify design and modeling requirements.
- Assist in preparing construction documentation and drawings generated from the BIM model.
- Support the BIM team in project coordination, model updates, and quality checking.
- Identify modeling issues and coordinate with the relevant discipline to resolve them.
- Maintain confidentiality of project information and company data.

Required Qualification
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering

Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Civil BIM Modeling.
- Candidates should have practical experience working with Autodesk Revit.
- Experience in engineering consultancy, construction, infrastructure, buildings, or related projects will be an advantage.

- Experience working in a multidisciplinary BIM environment
- Basic knowledge of Civil 3D will be an advantage
